In sadder news, Don Pablo's closed. I think that can be directly related to On The Border opening up on 33rd. At least that's when I noticed a significant decline in traffic there.

The East side wal-mart is actually where I get most of my movies. For some reason they usually have the best prices - even better than the other wal-mart. Last year I bought the looney toons DVDs there for $31. Everyone else had it for $45 or more.Walmart will beat everyones price.

I'm glad they're finally coming out with that ROTK extended version. Sure took long enough. Didn't the first two extended versions come out in November? I'm really looking forward to finally seeing this movie in English.
It looks like I'm only going to be in Austria for another couple of months and I want to pick up as many good movies with the German language track as possible. I doubt I'll have another opportunity unless I want try the internet and that may never be cheap.
Look at it this way - why try to get it out early when they don't have another movie to hype? They may as well push it as a christmas gift.
