you need a program like gimp or photoshop.
That sucks..all I have is paint on here..thanks though I guess I'll just search for smaller pictures or something.
This doesn't make sense, I'm finding pics that say they're small enough to fit the criteria for my avatar..yet every time I try to use one the alert comes up and says the picture I've picked is too large..yada yada yada. Help please!
It needs to be 80x80 and ... I don't remember how many bytes it can be. What are the dimensions and filesize and what exactly is the error you are getting?
.That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 80 by 80 pixels.
The different pics I've been trying to use include sizes from 7.43 KB to 33.1 KB. I'm not sure where to look to figure out the pixels. But I figure at least the 7.43 KB pic should work?
No, the diminsions have to be 80x80.
Right click on the picture, go to properties, click on summary, click on advanced, then make sure the width and height are both 80 or less.
Just post it here and I or someone else will resize it for you.

OK, try this. It seemed to probably be your best bet for 80x80.

i use a program called irfanview
it's really small and works great for just cropping and resizing
irfanview is one of my favorite programs. It does a million different things (hex viewer? COME ON!) and the executable is small.
