If the playoffs started today, I would pick the Astros to win the National League pennant.
Best three top starters of anyone in baseball, offense has come around and they're relatively healthy (except for Bagwell of course). If they had landed one more big bat (namely Adam Dunn), then I would have definitely called them the odds-on favorites.
But I like their chances now than I did a couple of months ago.
I hate Houston; they stole Pettite from the Yankees, talked Clemens out of retirment, and beat out my Cubs last season; may they fall off the face of the earth.
