I did too, I remember coming home from school and my Mom telling me about it. It was devastating. And that feature they showed today got to me a little bit too.

The transformation of Payne Stewart from total hotshot to true family man was, and still is, remarkable. It's a shame he left us so soon.

You either get it or you don't. If it were someone they knew or loved that died and we mad a wise crack about it, I doubt that they would be very happy about it.

I know it sounds strange, but allow me to explain a little better.

My grandfather died about 3 years ago and we were very close, some things that happen from time to time throughout the day remind me of him which gets me choked up sometime. I am a sensitive man, and it's not like I am not moving on or anything like that it's just the way I am. I was able to watch Payne play in Ft. Worth twice at the Colonial when I was growing up and he was a crowd favorite for sure. Some of you will say it's because he wore the funny pants, but that's not it; he would come over and interact with the crowd on just about every hole he was on. So he was a great player and a great person and I miss getting to see him play. People cry in movies all the time that are fake and this is real.
