Who says you have to call the police to get someone's info from their tag no. I have another route that I take concerning this. I called a kid one day, after getting his home phone, after running his tag no. He was weaving back and forth in front of me in a residential area at like 10mph. I tried to get around but he was being a jerk. There were kids playing around, so I couldn't go around. So, I called him the next morning @ 6am the next morning and woke him up, confirming his address, and told him never to do that again!Originally Posted by Scott D

BSG--just noticed this thread for the first time in a while. I know from experience (a rock fell out of a dumptruck on I-35 and broke my windshield) that if a psycho sf.com poster were to take the license plate number to, I think, the DMV, they could get everything about this person. The place I went was in one of the buildings next to the capitol bldg--one of those funky windowed buildings. Charged me like $1.
