Hollywood actor and comedian Jim Carrey was asked what his favorite sports team was in a recent radio interview. His reply was the Oklahoma Sooners which was a little surprising since he’s not from Oklahoma.
When asked why, Carrey said, “I saw them play years ago and they were way, way down and these guys just never gave up. They came back and nearly won the game and I was just really impressed and I’ve been a huge Sooners fan ever since.
And their fans are incredibly enthusiastic about their team, probably more so than just about any other team that I know of, and you can kind of feed off of their excitement when watching a game. I know, I know, I’m not from Oklahoma but hell yeah I’m a Sooners fan!”
