    Boosters to the rescue:

FSU booster club to pay $1.3 million of school's legal fees

By Graham Watson 3 hours ago Dr. Saturday

Florida State University's booster organization, Seminole Boosters, will pay most of the defense fees from the Title IX lawsuit brought by former student Erica Kinsman, who alleged she was raped by former quarterback Jameis Winston.
According to the Associated Press, booster club chairman David Rancourt sent an email to members saying the group would cover $1.3 million of the school’s $1.7 million in fees. The state's Risk Management Fund would pay the remainder of the fees as well as the $950,000 settlement to Kinsman and her attorneys.
The two parties announced the settlement Monday.
According to the Associated Press, the money came from business ventures and not from private donations used to fund athletic scholarships.
Kinsman’s suit alleged that Winston raped her in his apartment after they had met at Potbelly’s, a bar near campus, and that FSU officials were “deliberately indifferent” to the reported assault.
