Very cool! No doubt in my mind he's the most deserving of the Heisman this year. But politically he probably doesn't have a good chance.

Nowhere have I heard any sort of, "if not this year, next year" type comments that they usually say when mentioning non-seniors that are in contention.
Mayfield is a true junior and is still petitioning to get that redshirt year back, the last I heard.
