If Oklahoma had helmet stickers, this would be worth, like, five.

Hey... maybe T BOONE can pony up and start a Stilleater newspaper... but the players would probably just use it to roll the weed.
Your link doesn't work, but I was able to find this funny write-up of Perine's long TD run. http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...-semaje-perine
Edit: Nevermind, I guess sbnation doesn't want the clicks tonight. Nothing to see here!
The enduring image of Oklahoma was that ridiculous double–middle finger of a game-icing kick. It was probably an accident, which somehow made it more, not less, insulting. It was as though Stoops had partied so hard on the corpse of the SEC that he woke up with an unplanned tattoo.
Saban and Kiffin made sure that the Heisman voters will see big numbers
in a rivalry game from Henry (who is a man among boys) and that's okay.
Mayfield's year is next year, imo, especially when OU improves even more.
Stoops alluded to that in the post game with "we're a young team". Sure,
Shep, Striker, Neal are among the seniors leaving, but there are a number
of "young'uns" chompin' at the bit. Not sure that we'll get #8 this year but
we'll be odds on next year so, yeah, it is GREAT to be a Sooner!!!
I never think it is good to point and say "next year" when you are on a roll this year.
So many things will change, no way to know how things will pan out from the bounce of the ball, the uncertainty of injury to a key player, how good the opposition will be.
This year we know, OU should make the CFP (and it will be a royal screw job if not), this year OU is good enough to beat any of the other three in the CFP and while we can all read the writing on the wall for this year's Heisman Trophy, Baker Mayfield has played well enough to deserve it, no matter what some other player's numbers are compared to his (and comparing a RB's numbers to a QB's is not the best criteria but rather, which player's presence had the most to do with his team's performance).
Don't talk to me about next year while we are still in it for all the marbles this year.

Shepard had a key block as well...don't know if 45 would have dove and got Mixon but he was close
How do you know if you get there, if you don't know where you are going?..oh and I had 1,713 post on the "other board"..I hate being a rookie again!
While I don't think the lack of a conference championship game hurts our chances of getting into the playoffs, it may be a detriment to showcasing a Heisman candidate. Henry will be playing this weekend while Baker sits.

It's time to see how good OU's marketing department is. Heisman voters love feel-good stories more than they love good athletes, so it's time to emphasize the following:
- Hardly recruited in high school
- Walk-on at Tech that didn't earn scholarship despite being Big 12 freshman of the year
- Walk-on at OU that was denied a waiver by Tech to be eligible to play or get a scholarship for another season
- OU offseason issues united team after SAE video
- Overcame adversity of early season loss to team's biggest rival
- Will throw, will run, will even block to score touchdowns
- Nae nae video also a must
I know that ESPN has already anointed the Bammer running back as the next Heisman... but voters also hate being told what to do.
