    Talk about doing a one-eighty

Wilson throws for 4 TDs in 62-20 Utah win over Oregon

That's the kind of score Oregon used to inflict on their opponents. To have this happen to them in Eugene, it has to have the fans, the ones who have been around a while anyway, wondering if their program is headed back to those days of being a conference doormat. Maybe it wasn't just the system and Marcus Mariota really is that good.

They must have whiffed somewhere if they have a first year starter from FCS at QB.

Not sure what happened on defense though. They were terrible a few years ago on defense but it seems like they have been pretty solid for over a decade

They got hot and had a lot of coaching turnover though too.

Helfrich is starting to run out of Chip Kelly players.....

The big money Oregon people got what they wanted, they wanted Chip Kelly gone because he wouldn't kiss their asses like Bellotti had done forever. They got their "Oregon guy" who would stroke their egos at the expense of wins when Kelly left.

Mariota is that good. To me he should have been the clear number 1 draft pick over Winston. Still not sure what these NFL guys saw that would lead them to believe otherwise. I thought he was going to be good but even I am surprised by the kind of start he has gotten off to in the NFL.

Mariota is certainly that good, but the ducks got to the BCS title game against Auburn before Mariota (under Kelly). I'm sure the ducks lost other key players besides Mariota as well - happens to all teams. Blow-out games can be misleading and there is no way Utah is 6 TDs better than the ducks. Just one of those cascade failures. We've had a few of those too, both for and against.

Nah! Screw the Ducks! I hope they lose every game by this margin forever! Dirty cheaters!

Every team rebuilds these days. Nobody just reloads; not even Bama.

Would have been cool to see Kendall Thompson destroy the ducks instead, but I'll definitely take it

Sadly the UO fall reminds of OU's recent slide down from the mountain.
    Owen '05-'26 122-54-16 .677 (Foundation)
    Wilkinson '47-'63 145-29-4 .829 (DYNASTY 1) 3 NC
    Switzer '73-'88 157-29-4 .837(DYNASTY 2) 3 NC
Stoops '99- PRESENT 179-46.793 (DYNASTY 3) 1 NC and still WAITING

At OU tradition is about more than just one coach 861-319-53 .720

    So, a win-win situation.

Let me rephrase that: All of college football got what they wanted.

Hard to replace the mad scientist in Chip Kelly. I mean that guy was/is a eat-sleep football coach. No children, not married and so he could basically be a pro coach at the college level. I think it was Nuehisal that said people would eventually figure them out and in reality Stanford beats Oregon fairly regularly with just a ball control offense and good D. I think this is the offense the new guy at Oregon State is putting in.

Wish I still lived out there to revel in their losses. As it is, I will settle for, and enjoy reading my Duck friends rants, and sad postings on Facebook. Long may they rot at the bottom of the ratings barrel!

I think the Duck program has peaked out and will stay where they are now until Phil has enough and replaces Helfrich. May not take long.
