Bad analogy. Crony capitalists might be the johns but the US taxpayers are the sex slaves and the politicos are the pimps/traffickers. The taxpayers are getting screwed while the pimps and johns are getting all of the benefit. And in this system the pimps are not independent...they work for the johns.

We agree the taxpayers are getting screwed. But we don't have a real choice in the transaction. The transaction is between the pols and the "crony capitalists," and for that transaction, I stand by my analogy.

Kind of a stretch? Sure. Rational: I think that people getting stuff for free for a prolonged period of time erodes their desire/ability to strive to do more (sounds awful GOP of me). People making more money off of giving it away than they can make off of actual work erodes their desire/ability to get out of that spiral. It starts out as a short term thing and before it's over, they're doing things just to get their next fix that they had to get to make them be able to do their short term thing.
