Kerry is the first Sec State to not do something akin to what Hillary did. She had a blackberry that she liked. She used it often. It used email on her email server that's on her network - probably pretty danged secure. Colin Powell didn't have a state department email address and only used a private one. He also saved none of those emails. I've been trying to migrate my mom from flip phone to smart phone for a few years. It's difficult. She's just a few years older than Hillary.

I think it's a vast right wing conspiracy.

I actually think it's much ado about almost nothing that the GOP is hoping to keep stirred up between now and next November. I look at it like this: It's a night game and they're getting their drink on with bloody mary's WAY TOO EARLY.

Serious stuff, IMO. Violation of secure and top secret information, that others have been tried and convicted on. What is a major issue IMO, is that someone somewhere appears to have stripped or ignored the security level of information to pass it to Hillary's server. It is clear that laws were broken here, not just a mistake...

This is all about Hillary having word over her "legacy" and being able to mold opinion in a way she wants on her narrative as SecState.

Welp, my opinion is that is certainly political, since both sides are yapping.
I can attest to the fact that certain information first comes out in the open
and then is later classified, (goes back 51 years to my time in USAFSS) If
other Secretaries of State's correspondence were investigated, I am certain
that similar incidents occurred with them.

As was posted by others, in the end, it'll be much ado about nothing. TDTW,
as to her hiding something, you may be right but look back over time with
her and hubby and how the other side ripped on them (Monica notwithstanding).

Lets put your BS into perspective. The previous GOP SoS that used e-mail in their official duties as SoS were Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell. Codoleezza Rice states she rarely used e-mails and when she did it was on an official State Department server. The only other previous SoS that might(I emphasize might) have used e-mail in an official SD capacity would have served under Bill Clinton. So that essentially leaves Colin Powell as the lone scapegoat for the "Bush did it, too" crowd.

So Powell does admit to using a private email server(although not one in his home) while he was getting the State Department up to speed with current technology. Powell is the SoS that essentially converted the communication system in the SD to a digitally based system so the rules and procedures regarding appropriate protection and preservation of digital records were just being mapped out. The rules for protecting and preserving records have gotten more and more stringent over the past 10 years as cyber espionage has become a bigger and bigger problem so Powell was not operating under the same set of rules that Hillary was required to adhere to.

Finally, none of the other SoS that might have used e-mail in their official capacity as SoS have ran or are currently running for President. And none of the other SoS had a multi-billion dollar foundation using the same server while they were SoS in a slimey quid-pro-quo money making scheme. If they were then I assume there would be more questions about how they used their e-mail servers.

Serenity's comparison on this issue is just a diversion from the facts. It is just a partisan dodge by a partisan ideologue who then turns around and wonders why Washington DC is so partisan and all the politicians are crooks. Memo to Serentiy...they're crooks because voters like you allow them to get away with it.

Really kind of pathetic that the leftists on here continue to support who might very well be the most unethical, calculating, sleazy and vile political figure that has appeared on the American political landscape in decades. The fact that they continue to support her, regardless of the fact that the number and Scope of her transgressions are now legendary, speaks volumes about them personally.
If she was a Republican, I can guarantee you she would be somewhere at the back of the pack in the race, certainly not leading the race.

Dems, who infamously screamed that morals were not important when Bill Clinton was being Impeached still cling to that flawed, ridiculous notion. Nothing could be farther from the truth. If Obama had told the truth about ACA, then we would not have the most ill conceived legislation of our lifetime. High morals and integrity are the most important virtues a President can have.
