Plus food, tickets, drinks and time....for akron. Thats the thing...the ppv games are bad opponents so I'd gladly pay $40 to watch on tv.

    Oh, 6 hours 1 way for me....lol

HD is usually $5 more expensive.

If it matters, Stubhub's cheapest to attend is $35ish right now. Not sure what face value is.

I wish the nosebleed game wasn't the opener. It gives fans that can't afford season tickets or the big matchups a chance to attend an OU game, or actually get to watch with friends/family.

Anyone see if Uverse is listing this yet? They are always so late. Last year it wasn't listed until just a few days ahead.

**EDIT - Just got off the line with Uverse. They won't release PPV information about September until September 1st. So I guess I'll have to wait until at least next Tuesday to find out. That is very poor service.

I'll listen to the free radio broadcast. This ain't OU/Texas, no reason to pay to watch it on TV.

    Re: Akron PPV

Probably not going to do the PPV thing since they're are 3 other, what looks to be good games or at least on paper decent match-ups, on in the same time slot Sept 5th

Alabama vs. Wisconsin (Dallas) 7:00 pm ABC / espn3

Texas at Notre Dame 6:30 pm NBC / NBC Video

Arizona State vs. Texas A&M (Houston) 6:00 pm ESPN

If our game was on later Sat night or on Friday night like Baylor/SMU I'd probably spring for the PPV (I don't know if we'll even have the PPV option), but since it's against Akron, then I think I'll pass on this one. I might grab a radio broadcast for the 1st qtr or the 1st half if our game is interesting, and if I can't catch a radio broadcast, I'll just keep up with it on one of the sites game-tracker and DVR the replay on Sunday or Monday. I just can't get fired up to pay for PPV to watch us play an east-popcorn-state Baylor or Tech type OOC opponent.

Besides seeing if our offense continually does the meer-kat/Time-Out thing again this year or our DBs continually give their receivers a 10 yard cushion off the LOS, it might be interesting to see if Bob decides to punt the ball to the Akron punt return team in the 1st qtr if our offense goes 3 and out.

They will probably punt when they need to, twice if necessary.

If you wait until Tuesday, there are three showings on FSSW. 9/8. 1 full game and 2 B101112 no huddles... Stoops show also Sunday night.
