After the Mixon situation, I don't think we have any room to cast stones on these types of issues. Fisher kicked their QB off the team for doing essentially what Mixon did. The only difference is that the FSU kid's video got released. If Mixon's video had been released, I believe Stoops would've had to kick him off the team too.

Charges were dropped by both parties in the Mixon case. Why should Mixon get punished for a dope head who had altercations before.

Did you just make that up? Mixon took a plea deal. A quick search yields many reports on it:

    -----------From Jake Trotter, ESPN------

Oklahoma freshman running back Joe Mixon reached a plea deal this week to avoid going to trial on the misdemeanor charge of acts resulting in gross injury.

Mixon entered an Alford plea, which allowed him to continue asserting his innocence. He was handed a one-year deferred sentence, 100 hours of community service and behavior counseling.

Mixon's attorney, Kevin Finlay, released a statement shortly after the agreement became public.

"Today, Joe has made the decision that entering an Alford Plea to the misdemeanor and accepting the short period of probation was the best course of action at this point in his life," the statement read. "Joe does not want to be a further distraction to his family, friends, teammates, and the University of Oklahoma.

"Joe would like to apologize to everyone affected by this unfortunate chain of events. Joe looks forward to continuing towards his goal of becoming a successful student and athlete at the University of Oklahoma."

Can't really compare FSU to Mixon. Everything FSU does right now is influenced by how they handled or didn't handle the Winston case. If anything happens that involves a female, the person is gonna be gone.

And where did you get that information? I never saw anything about Molitor being charged. In fact Greg Mashburn, the Cleveland county DA, specifically spelled out why Mixon was charged and Molitor was not. I'm not comparing Mixon and the FSU kid. I'm just wondering why you are posting blatantly incorrect information.

Hey... maybe T BOONE can pony up and start a Stilleater newspaper... but the players would probably just use it to roll the weed.
