Oklahoma signee Dalton Wood arrived on campus Wednesday. He apparently left a short time later. According to the Oklahoman, Wood left Wednesday night and has not returned. Wood reported to OU on Wednesday but left in the middle of the night to go back home. He still hadn’t reported back to Norman as of Saturday afternoon. Wood is a native of McAlester, Oklahoma, and was a three-star member of Oklahoma's recruiting class . He was classified as an athlete according to Rivals and is listed at 6-4, 250. He was the No. 8 recruit in the state. According to the Tulsa World, Wood played quarterback, running back and slot receiver for McAlester High School. He was offered a scholarship just 48 hours after Oklahoma assistant coach Jay Boulware visited his high school to see him play. He was the first commit from McAlester to Oklahoma since 2002. He told the World he was expecting to play tight end at Oklahoma. The Sooners moved former quarterback Blake Bell to the position in 2014. Bell was a senior in 2014.
