McGee may have played at OU but it wasn't under Stoops, as far as I know he has no direct connection to the Stoops staff. He has had success at other stops at the same position, so it is a much different situation than promoting Heupel from within.

I am thinking we'll have an announcement this week, once the Championship game is over on Monday - I think we'll get Frost from Oregon, and Cumbie from TCU. I think to avoid the circus, both sides (Frost and OU) agreed to wait for an announcement. As it's been stated on other sites, I don't think Bob pulls the trigger on the firings without already having a candidate lined up.
He declined to be interviewed. Very polite way to shut things down.

McGee was given a raise and contract extension from Louisville when word got out that we was being considered for the OC job. He was scheduled to be interviewed last week, but cancelled after Louisville offered a pay increase and new contract.
Looking like Lincoln Riley (ECU OC) is the odds on favorite.
If an OC has a Leach version play book, style or coached under why is that desired? Don't we have that playbook archived and sweaked already? I thought we were getting a new system. Please set me straight. Thx
Riley Lincoln is Josh Heupel 2.0. We won't ever win a NC with that style of offense.
Or you've got the life of Riley 2.0. Starring Lincoln..as Riley.
