What a magical season we had in 2000 and we'll always be grateful for that and the good work you've done to help others. Wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. I have no doubt you will land on your feet. God speed...

Many good coaches have been let go sometime in their career. If they learn and are resilient, they bounce back.
Yep. He was like a coach on the field in 2000. I still haven't given up on the possibility of him being a great offensive coach.
La ola es mía.
He'll probably wind up at Clemson and wreck havoc on defenses in the ACC....oh wait, that's too farfetched to even consider.

Agreed. We owe almost as much to Heupel as Stoops for the resurrection of our program.
Best wishes to everyone who is leaving. And, thanks Josh also for your foundation, which helped a child I was working with many years ago be able to go to a camp.
One of the GREATEST in teaching QBs around! I still think the biggest problem this year was DEFENSE! What Josh did with Paul Thompson, Sam Bradford, Jason White, etc. was amazing. He will be back, just watch......
thanks and good luck. Boomer~
How do you know if you get there, if you don't know where you are going?..oh and I had 1,713 post on the "other board"..I hate being a rookie again!
Josh, you were an inspiration in 2000 and know you will go on to do great things. You gave it a good try but it just wasn't in the cards - yet. You will always be our Josh.
There's Only ONE Oklahoma!
Thank you Josh & Jay for your effort. As always, there is a time to move on. Thanks again, good luck in the future.
Much thanks Josh. A great Sooner.
Still don't completely agree that Josh wasn't the fall guy in all of this, but I appreciate all he did and I'm sure he'll land on his feet.
Josh is in Logan, Utah right now being offered the offensive coordinator job for the Utah State Aggies.

Thank you Soonerfans.com for being classy. I'm so tired of reading another board that completely shows how pathetic Sooner fans can be and completely gives the rest of the fanbase a bad name. TYJH (Thank you Josh Huepel).
Best of luck to Josh wherever he lands. With any luck, he'll wind up repeating Venables' success with another program. (Hopefully not against us....so not EXACTLY like Venables)
The enduring image of Oklahoma was that ridiculous double–middle finger of a game-icing kick. It was probably an accident, which somehow made it more, not less, insulting. It was as though Stoops had partied so hard on the corpse of the SEC that he woke up with an unplanned tattoo.
