How do you know if you get there, if you don't know where you are going?..oh and I had 1,713 post on the "other board"..I hate being a rookie again!
We won't be spoiling anybody's season without some major changes. Be interesting to see what happens over the next 6 weeks.
If we get a new OC, I wouldn't put us in spoiler role to Baylor. Maybe TCU, as they'll likely (deservedly) be preseason #2.
How did we ever get in the position where we are talking about being a spoiler to programs like Baylor and TCU?
I remember when any win by OU was basically a "spoiler' type of win.
Barring a complete overhaul of the staff and a new QB, we will be fortunate to win 8 games again next year. There is no reason to think we won't lose all the same games next year, plus we have to deal with Texas and Tenn on the road.
It is probably true that the team will have to improve just to win 8 games next year. I'm actually confident enough to think that we will improve at least a some almost because in some areas it is almost impossible not to but I think we are all pretty much accepting slightly better than mediocrity if we are ok with that.
As long as Briles and Patterson are there I think Baylor and TCU are going to be top 10 caliber teams so I think it would serve Stoops and Co to take a look at what those guys are doing right now and learn because they are doing a hell of a lot more with less.
