The 2nd largest airforce in the world is the Navy/Marine airforce which by itself is almost 2.5 times the size of the #3 airforce of Russia. The largest, most powerful airforce is of course the USAF.

It is amazing that we have that large of a firepower advantage over the saber rattling Russians.

I am sure USAF/US Navy Aviation won't shoot first if Putin stays on his side of the NATO border.

I am sure Putin won't shoot first if USAF is nearby. Saber-rattling = talk, and talk is cheap.

We can only hope that neither force makes a mistake whilst playing Chechen, err, chicken with the other.
