Another sooner stat where we are number 1...
There is not a lot to feel good about this season.
This helps. A lot.
Not bad for a 4th string freshman rb
Very different game for Perine vs. the TT and WVU games. He plowed over a bunch of folks in those games in the 2nd half once they got a little tired. This game was all about his vision and the O-line. Many of his runs, he was barely touched, but it was his patience and vision that got him in the correct lane so often.
he didn't even start!
what a cold, sloppy, awful, fantastic day
I know Optimus just set the national single game record but I was equally impressed that he broke 43 yr old OU record of Pruitt. I'm old enough to recall listening to Greg going for 294 vs. KSU in'71 during a 75-28 OU win. BTW this also marked victory #850 in OU history.
Owen '05-'26 122-54-16 .677 (Foundation)
Wilkinson '47-'63 145-29-4 .829 (DYNASTY 1) 3 NC
Switzer '73-'88 157-29-4 .837(DYNASTY 2) 3 NC
Stoops '99- PRESENT 179-46.793 (DYNASTY 3) 1 NC and still WAITING
At OU tradition is about more than just one coach 861-319-53 .720

I wish Stoops would have kept him in and let him shatter the record. He could have ran for 500 today. A record that might stand for another 145 years of college football.
There's Only ONE Oklahoma!
Really happy for this kid!
But on another note, Broyles' receptions record goes down today as well.
With all due respect to Perine and his new single game rushing record, Pruitt will still be one of the greatest RBs (along with Joe W) because I haven't seen another one besides those 2 (including Q) that could cut/change direction in mid-air, especially in the Cotton Bowl. Of course, neither could physically punish the D like Perine does.
Awesomeness

on Big Tex burning....They mentioned this on College Football Live. Pollack asked if it represented the Texas defense. Herbie told him it represented the Texas bandwagon.
Lets not forget about another one of Perine's great accomplishments this year.....He has not fumbled!!!!!
