Welp...Florida, Michigan and Nebraska all open....Mack gets
Nebbish, Les Miles leaves LSU for Meatchicken, McElwain leaves
Colo St for Florida and some hot OC goes to Ft Collins. Lane
Kiffin leaves Saban for LSU, another hot OC goes to Tulsa...how
am I doin' so far?
I added Hoke and UAB's Clark to the list, because if the program shuts down he's "fired" too.
There's no way someone doesn't try to gobble him up with the way he had that program headed despite no support from their Bama-leaning trustees.
Not so fast......

$7.5 million is a lot for a coach that hasn't been at the highest level. You pay that much for someone that's won the national title, not someone that's in a mid-major conference.
On top of that, they still have to pay Will Muschamp to not-coach. It might seem frugal to a program desperate to get back to Tebowing, but it's financially sound.
Good for Colorado State for sticking it to the almighty SEC
Apparently they've solved the issue:

I have updated the list to include CSU's guy to Florid and the CSU opening it creates.
Tulsa's reportedly after Texas A&M's offensive coordinator, who used to be a local high school QB.
I don't recall the last time they had a young coach, but it might be a good opportunity for them considering they won't have millions to go after a bigtime coordinator or current/fired head coach... and I don't think A&M is going to fight to keep him.
If true, WOW.

Even bigger whoa; Just saw on the crawl on ESPN that NU has hired Mike Riley from Oregon State.
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.
Mike Riley to nebbish per Bob barry.
I have updated the master list on page one, with Nebraska off and Oregon State on.
Don't you love how every hiring creates a new opening after awhile, especially at the big name programs?
so long as it's your program and not mine!
Riley has done a good job with limited recruiting pull at Oregon State. Seems like a solid hire on the surface, but not a home run. Riley is also calm, stoic coach on the sideline which may have been important to NU.
Love Mike Riley. We went to a lot of Oregon State games when we lived out there, and he is a good guy. Hope he does well at Nebraska. Hope the Beavers can find a decent replacement for him.

So CSU will ultimately get the $7.5 mil plus a game with Florida, and McElwain coaching the gators against his former employer. I think the rams just negotiated themselves into be-careful-what-you-wish-for territory, because that game could turn into a beatdown of epic proportion.
