Wow, that is shocking! I would have guessed Texas would have had a slight edge or at least close to a pick em.
Texas would be the bet there.

Whorn remaining schedule: Tech, WVU, OSU, TCU
Turk remaining schedule: Texas, OU, ISU, Baylor
Both are 3-5 and likely out of bowl contention. In other words, neither has much to lose... what crazy, oddball stuff do you expect to see? Punting never? Onside kicking every kickoff? The wishbone? The ninja formation? The cover zero (cover nobody) defense?
Take Texas on this one. They can play D and their O will score against Tech.
On the face of it this seems absurd. TT squeaked by Central Arkansas, was pasted last week, can't stop the run and just generally stinks on defense. Usually when I see this kind of line I suspect somebody knows something that the general public doesn't.
my guy isn't even showing this game at all on his site.... otherwise I'd be all over it.
Folks must be over-reacting to the goose egg that KSU handed the horns. The KSU and TTech defenses are so different, they don't appear to be playing the same game.
Exactly.
Last week, I really thought Texas could cover the 9.5 point spread over KSU. The Longhorn defense didn't play bad, but their offense went back to being anemic. A team simply can't ask the defense to stay on the field as long as they did, without any offensive help, and expect to win.
Tech is a dumpster fire, but really only on defense. On defense, Tech is absolute garbage, but the question is; can Texas do anything to put points on the board?
I agree, when I see such an odd spread, I think someone knows something the rest of us outsiders don't know.
The horns carved out 500 yards on us. Granted, they are poor at turning that into points, but if they just get into the 20's they'll cover this spread (if this spread is for real). I wouldn't even be surprised if they win.
All right beyonces. get your vBetting on, including the 24.5 point spread for turk/whorn
Isn't Davis, the TT QB, out too with injury? This just doesn't make sense. I'm not sure TT could beat the whorns by 24 1/2 if the whorns didn't show up!
Based only on what I saw during the game, I don't think Webb will play. However, the freshman (Mahomes) looked pretty damn good and we know that Kliff isn't loyal to any QB, and there's no such thing as "you won't lose your job because of injury" in his world. Still, Mahomes may be great, but a freshman against a pretty good defense...something's still off about that spread.
That's not an accurate spread
I was thinking the same thing...it's a crazy spread.....but if a mistake it's been up there a long time...very strange....
