Does this really solve the problem? Stolarik was just a pawn doing what he was hired to do by the regent who got him hired. Is the regent going to back off now too?
Doubt it.... look page couple of pages and check out the posts about the history of the situation..... Nobody wants a repeat of this debacle to happen

When you let somebody in the drama department pick your football coach the same thing would happen. It looked bad on the School of Music (although they didn't select Stolarick), It look bad for the School of Fine Arts, It looked bad for Boren and ultimately it looked bad for the University of Oklahoma.
Hopefully everybody learns from this mistake.

I don't think that anyone outside of Boren, Britt, and Weizenwhatever really know the answer to that question. However, I would be very surprised if that wasn't addressed specifically in the negotiations for Mr. Britt's return.

The real question is why did he leave to begin with? Especially, to manage a high school theater in Texas? Glad he's back though.
I have no clue who the regent is, but at this point he/she would look pretty stupid trying to continue with their influence. A mistake was made, and it embarrassed the university. Now, there's a chance to correct that...even an over-involved regent should be able to understand that. Although, I never underestimate stupid people with money.
