Well, he still had possession when he had the ball pinned, before his knee touched. It was pinned against his body, and the UT player had to use force to pull it away from him after he was down.

And maybe that's what they ruled - I've seen identical plays where it was ruled the other way. They treated a pinned ball as if it were laying on the ground meaning there is no whistle until it is recovered or goes out of bounds. I know this may come as a shock, but there have been bad calls that have actually gone OUr way. Reading OU boards, I think about 1000 goes against us for every 1 that goes for us, but it has happened!
To any and all who thought that was a fumble;
I'll give you a dollar if you could take that ball from Samaje's bicep.
Thought so.

Yes, we get 99.9% calls against us, but the refs made the right call this time.
My two cents worth is that Perine's forward motion had been stopped before the ball was extricated from his possession....knee wasn't relevant.

So, I'm guessing there is still no update on the threads subject?
I heard something in the recap show, short inquiry from Blevins, asking about Ford's ankle injury update? Nothing from Stoops though, said he didn't have any details.

Rocky Calmus played with a fractured fibula the week after he broke it. I wouldn't recommend doing that and it depends on the severity of the fracture.
