Don't know that there's an option for protection other than mob-style protection, and that's not an option when nobody's coming around to collect.

LT included
UltraDNS offers flood protection. But it's pricey. The only good news is, lots of the bad guys when they see you've got UltraDNS won't bother, and that saves you from paying their traffic-shaping fees during an incident.
That sucked for you Phil on Labor Day. I appreciate all you do to keep this outlet for Sooner fans up and running. It beats 20+ pages of "texas sucks" i find on other message boards.
Oh, and texas sucks!!!!!!!
"I'm going to request that you stop posting in this thread." - circa 2008
"Why does there have to be so much immature stuff on here?" - circa 2010
I am looking into options to protect from these attacks - apparently they do exist.

I've only seen this once before, and that's when I just visited Landthieves. It said to turn javascript on, which I usually do, but it takes a little time because I try to control jscript as much as I can on a per site basis. I then visited the Shag and that warning didn't come up as it did with Landthieves, which seemed a little strange. I wanted to make sure that ""cloudfare was legit and not some spoof, before I allowed it. It does appear to be legit according to the PC World article. I think I'll put the browser in the sandbox before allowing it though.
