Good! Been boring these last few days.
If you don't got Mo Joe Mixon then your team could use some fixin.
Everybody say a silent prayer that nobody gets injured (especially during the Oklahoma Drill)
First practice held today at 5:45 am. Was scheduled for the rugby fields, but moved indoors due to weather.
The first two (or three) practices are un-padded (helmet only).
I kinda think Mike Stoops "normal" blood pressure is high, and when it's the offseason he doesn't feel right because it's lower than normal:
Freshman WR Dallis Todd
I love this picture:
SoonerSports has a practice report video: LINK.

Just caption that last pic "Iron Sharpening Iron"
Any news or surprises on who reported/didn't report?
Gig 'Em and God Bless
Didn't update the past few days, but in case you missed it, the Sooners had media day on Saturday and practice. The team was off Sunday, and started up again today with pads!
Blake Bell and Geneo Grissom (Oklahoma Drill). SoonerSports has a video of this (Bell did a good job of blocking on this one)
Dorial Green-Beckham
Samaje Perine
The rest of the pictures from today's practice are here.
Video of the Bell v. Grissom Oklahoma drill here.
Been hearing that Bell may be starting at tight end....just shows that are current tight end group is terrible.
8x, or anyone else. This mixon stuff bores me now because we don't have new info. What's the rumpus with flowers, Ford, Ross, grissom? Read a great article bout grissom, 6'4 252 and "off the chain" according to kish. anyone see any new guys that will put us over the top?
Bell was an All-State WR up here before he made the move to QB. It's not a stretch to think he can do well @ TE, provided of course, he gets the new blocking assignments/techniques down.
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.
Soooo...
Sorry, I missed your first post.Originally Posted by birddog

The word on Ross and Ford is that they are practicing like it's a competition (as it should be). I haven't heard of either taking the lead, as they're both playing well. Surprisingly, I've heard more about Derrick Brooks in the last couple of days than either Ross or Mixon. He (Brooks) is a completely different runner, and is hard to corral.
Grissom is very athletic and has taken to the OLB position well. He mentioned that he's still working hard on learning/developing his coverage technique, but I don't think there will be a ton of times that he'll be asked to cover. I think the light came on for him late last year, and he's been a difference maker since.
There are a couple of more guys I heard info on:
Dwayne Orso - I was told that "he'll definitely play this year". That surprised me a little. I know he is a fan favorite (when he was being recruited), but I thought he was a year away.
Tyler Evans - Playing as well as he ever has, and the O-line is going to be as good as expected.
That's about all of the "super secret source" information I have. The person I used to get really good info from has taken a job at another school (which sucks, because he was a good source). The above info is more second-hand stuff.
That's music to my ears - especially added to the raised expectation of the D-line. Win in the trenches and you'll rarely lose on the scoreboard.Tyler Evans - Playing as well as he ever has, and the O-line is going to be as good as expected.
How can a guy named Flowers even come close to a player named Ripkowski? Okay just kidding. ha
McNamara looked plenty good in the spring game. I think he caught 2 TD's. I think we'll be alright at that position.
