What's head-scratching about this is that with the new playoff system, OOC games are going to become more important for jockeying position. Any team that thinks it could be in the hunt for a title, should be beefing up their OOC scheduling. Baylor seems to be ignoring that altogether. Hell, I think even Tech finally scheduled a D1 team or two.
There's no defending this ****.
It's the college football equivalent of sparring partners in boxing. Don't want somebody who could get all bad on you and everything. I think they should try playing someone like Appalachian State or North Dakota State...two teams nobody higher up really wants to play anymore. The consequences are program-shaking if you lose.
Is this right?
2014 (schedule complete) Aug. 30 SMU Sept. 6 Northwestern State Sept. 13 at Buffalo Conf. Game 1 Kansas State Conf. Game 2 at Iowa State Conf. Game 3 Texas A&M Conf. Game 4 at Texas Conf. Game 5 Oklahoma State Conf. Game 6 at Missouri Conf. Game 7 Kansas Conf. Game 8 at Oklahoma Conf. Game 9 Texas Tech (site TBA)
We're Baylor's second to last game next season? We play three more games after Baylor comes to Norman. Just seems odd.
That's wrong. It should be:
Aug. 31 - SMU
Sept. 6 - Northwestern State
Sept. 13 - at Buffalo
Sept. 27 - at Iowa State
Oct. 4 - at Texas
Oct. 11 - TCU
Oct. 18 - at West Virginia
Nov. 1 - Kansas (Homecoming)
Nov. 8 - at Oklahoma
Nov. 22 - Oklahoma State
Nov. 29 - vs. Texas Tech (Arlington, Texas)
Dec. 6 - Kansas State
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.
ugh look at the comments on that original page....Baylor must never be allowed to win the B12 again
The enduring image of Oklahoma was that ridiculous double–middle finger of a game-icing kick. It was probably an accident, which somehow made it more, not less, insulting. It was as though Stoops had partied so hard on the corpse of the SEC that he woke up with an unplanned tattoo.
How about William and Mary, but only if William doesn't come (to the game).
TEXAS IS GOD'S COUNTRY---IF YOU'RE AN ATHEIST
My first thought was did Mary Hardin-Baylor turn them down?
"The mark of a great player is in his ability to come back. The great champions have all come back from defeat." - Sam Snead
I wonder what Trabor would think of this? He was always talking about how inferior Baylor was, even when OSU wasn't doing any better. Every conference has a team on the low rung, but sometimes the rungs get closer together......
When is Big 12 going to have an enema and rid itself of Hypocrite U???
