Well, he's big and has legit sprinter speed.

Can't wait to see him in the fall... isn't he supposed to be the fast back with edge speed?
Watched what I could of him... though, I'm confused about some of the criticism I saw.
I can't speak to blocking, because I couldn't find anything.
He has a great field sense, very aware of where pursuing tacklers are coming from. He's good with angles, knowing which way/how much he needs to cut to outrun. I don't know why people say he needs to be a more punishing runner, but he's got a quick pop on contact... he's putting a lick on tacklers. A few plays, he was bouncing guys off him, with that little shoulder pop. That's not something you can really teach... you either do it, or you don't. Running with your head down, is one thing... having the timing to inflict that slobber-knocker shoulder to the midsection, something different.
In open field, wow... he opens up like a sprinter, hard to tell how fast he really is... until we see him against real speed. But, he's got cat-like quick on the switch to turn it on. A couple runs, he made the pursuit look like it just suddenly gave up.
He was a 100 and 200m sprinter at Jenks. At over 200 lbs. I'd say that's fast.

I don't think there was ever an issue with Ross' ability. As Roy Finch showed, it takes more than just being talented to see the field. I hope Ross has everything figured out, because he could be a really solid contributor.
I an told by someone very close that he is tied right now with the kid from Cy Ranch.

Merv Johnson knows what he is talking about. He is a delight to listen to on the radio. I hope Toby wants him by his side as long as Merv wants to.
