RIP Sadly I had not hard anything of him in years and thought he had already passed.I had the same reaction when Glen Ford died.Dale was a proud Oklahoma icon.Thought I read somewhere that he was related to former OU wrestling coach Port Robertson.

RIP Dale...thatnks for the all the Westerns.
Nope just a dumbass!
He was in this fixed up car with all this painting on the side and a big ole steer horn on the front. I had never seen anything like it and I just starred at it. I do not know if he thought I was some out of control fan or what but he was in the back seat and he gave me the bird. It took me a moment to realize who he was and to be honest it pissed me off. I am not sure what set him off because I was just getting a kick out of the car.
Tales of Dale's Large-O?My mom dated him in high school. She didn't elaborate.

Put a lid on it! Kiss it goodbye. We gave it away, and apparently thought it made sense to do so.
