Moving up the BCS rankings

Twice since the inception of the BCS has a team started lower than 9th in the first BCS rankings and still made the championship game. OU was involved in both.

LSU in 2003 was 12th in the first BCS ranking.

Florida in 2008 was 10th in the first BCS ranking.

Other than those two cases, 6th was the next closest.

Obviously we have a long way to go and a lot of tough games to take care of, I was just interested to see if the dominoes had ever fallen for a team to move that far. Good to see that it has happened.

JC....we do have a way of making the BCS a really good friend. I do hope this is one of those types of years.

Our remaining schedule isn't going to hurt any, that's for sure. If we can win out we'll at least get into a BCS bowl game and I'd be happy as hell with that. Just having the championship game within the realm of possibility right now makes football season that much sweeter!
