    April 19th, 2012

    Coming up.

We stopped by the Memorial after the RnW Game. My Daughter had been there with us at least once and also gone there on a School Field Trip. My Son is the age where we can explain to him about what happened there and it was also good to stop and pay our respect to the Fallen as well as the many survivors and all of the great folks who came quickly to the rescue and to those who stayed to help for weeks after.

Just a reminder that 17 years will have passed in a few days...

The Survivor Tree looks incredible right now.

    Never Forget...

Wow time gets away. I had just graduated from OU and moved to Virginia.

Those five year olds who died in the daycare would be 22 now.

Thank God for the trooper that just did his traffic job and stopped McVeigh. At least
the creep that did it paid the price.

Thanks everyone. So many memories of that time. I know how much it personally affected some here on the board.

Thanks for the reminder and the beautiful pictures of the memorial. I have been by there every time I have been through Oklahoma City since it was built. This tragedy will never be forgotten. I have already said my prayers for the victims and their families earlier this morning.

I live in Kingman, Arizona and I did back in 1995. I will never forget the feeling I had in my stomach when I heard about the bombing, nor the shock and disgust in later finding out that McVeigh and others involved had ties to this community. I went home and watched the news coverage that day and CNN used a feed of Oklahoma City local station news that was hosted by, among others, Tammy Payne. While still in college, I had worked briefly with Tammy when she anchored the 6 and 10 news in Wichita Falls, Texas back in 1987 and 1988.

    Thanks again for the reminder.

    Never Forget!
