"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever they can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser; in fees, expenses and waste of time." -- Abraham Lincoln, (1809-1865) Lawyer and President who saved the United States.
"Without opportunities on the part of the poor to obtain expert legal advice, it is idle to talk of equality before the law"-- Justice Chas. Evans Hughes
I miss Homey's daily informational posts.
I also miss picking Homey's brain about being a counselor someday when I grow up.
Point being, I miss Homey.
People don't know what it is to be a champion.
Oklahoma INVENTED it.
I would not have guessed Merle was that young.
"That leaves only me to blame cause Mama Tried."
Happy Birthday Merle.

BOY HOWDY !!!!
I watched a 2 hour concert by him yesterday never realizing it was his birthday. I had DVR'd it off HD Net.
I think he's in Tulsa later this month if anyone is interested.
I saw him in concert @ the Anaheim Convention Center, back in 71.
Hate to say it, he's a little younger than me.
My Mother was an "Okie from Muskogee, she'd have been 101 last month.
I am an Okie from Muskogee as well.
Strangely, my Mother was born there And my Dad had lots of relatives there. They didn't meet there, maybe in Quinton.
Mother's family moved from Muskogee to Checotah to Eufala to Quinton. All back in the 20s.
A coincidence, my Dad died there in the Veteran's Hospital. High up on a hill.
Yep, Honor Heights....the Azalea Festival is going on this month.
Mine died in 80. He'd have been 115 last October.
My brother and sister were born in Muskogee but not me.
Merle is one of my favorites.
