I loved my F-250. It had a 460 Engine in it and a great 4x4 drive in it. I called it the Mule. Darn thing would get it on.
My 2012 F350 SRW Diesel is averaging over 19mpg so far. If I didn't let it idle as much as I do It would be getting over 20. I pulled a 10,000 pound high profile load into a 30 mph headwind the other day and got 17.

It's doing good enough I'm going to start replacing my gas F250's with 6.7's. My gas F250's are averaging 7.8 year round. My gas F150's (5.4) are getting 13 on a good day, 11 on a bad day.

Yeah Tuf I don't disagree with you much on the MPG deal with Fords. Even with a load on them they don't usually drop much from the ****ty mileage they get and IMO they run forever without having to do much to them.

I loved every Ford I've ever owned, i just hated the mileage.

I don't/won't get into the Ford-Chevy urinating festivals because I've owned and loved both... but, I gotta say this - my current truck is a 2011 5.3L Chevy Z71 Extended Cab... SOB is getting almost 22 on the highway, 19 combined, and the power is unreal. I dont know what Obama Motors did to this truck on the assembly line, but it's a jewel.

    Carry on.

If anyone wants to sell me a 60's model Falcon or Galaxy 500...or a truck. I'd take any one of them.

Back in 05 a Chevy Silverado was my primary driver, but then I had an 05 Mustang GT as a toy.

The Chevy truck was a keeper, but I miss the hell out of that Mustang, it was fun to drive! Ima get me another Mustang GT, maybe this summer.

Anyway, Ford...Chevy...they're bout the same. Now I wouldn'nt buy a Dodge/Chrysler product if my life depended on it.

I've gone back and forth about a hundred times about buying a Mustang. I've test driven several, and loved them. The reason I'm hesitant is that I don't know how much I'll actually drive it, and it's hard for me to put a decent chunk of money into something I may not drive. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I really want a Boss, but that's a far larger chunk of money.

I loved driving the GT, but it really was just a toy for me and not an everyday driver, not that it couldn't have been I guess. Anyway, there's a good chance I'll get another this summer. If the one I had with 300HP was fun to drive I can just imagine one of the new ones with over 400! And for me the GT would be plenty, I don't need a Boss, Cobra, or whatever, though if you want one of those I'd certainy encourage you to get it!

Similar to my thots; only on Vette instead of Tang.
Actually, would love to have Tang. Would even consider Camaro or Challenger.

If I didn't have to deal with the winter driving conditions here, I would have puller the trigger a long time ago. I'm sure if I got it, I'd drive it a ton the first few months, but then I'm afraid it would sit in the garage...although, my 17 year old son insists he could help me out with that problem. No thanks.

I'm not loyal to one brand over another, and last year, when my son got his license, I got him a Ford F150 ('06). I had a friend selling one, and got a great deal on it. It's been great with the exception of having to replace the solenoid (twice). I figured the last thing he needed was a sports car at 16. And it's a helluva lot nicer than what I was driving at that age.

    One of these things?

A 1967 hand me down Ford Galaxy 500 was my first car. Damn thing would overheat if you drove fast on a summer day. I had fun with it and was glad to have a car but my next car was much cooler - a gold 1969 Lincoln with interior white leather and "suicide style" doors and a 460 engine.
