Live in the Denver area, and we're expected to get between 6" to a foot of snow tonight. The best part about this time of year is that the snow falls, then it's all gone in 48 hours.

I bet they don't even call off school. If it snowed that much in OK the news would have already coined a name for it...
Snow death 2011......... Are you prepared?

Nah, school will not be called off (as much as my kids want it to be).
What was it last year? Snowpocalypse 2010: Snowmaggedon....
I envy you. It was 88 here today....still summer.
You only live once, but if you work it right...once is enough!
Yeah, here in southern Oklahoma we are still gathering peas, beans, squash from the garden.

About 10" on the ground where I live, and continuing to snow. It's good, wet, heavy snowman building snow too!
10" on the ground? You must be short.

I lived in Oklahoma for 20+ years, and have now lived in Colorado for 15 years, and I can say, without question, that Oklahoma is much colder in the winter than Colorado (at least Denver). We have a lot of snow on the ground, but I was able to walk the dog with a sweatshirt and gloves (of course jeans). I remember times in OK, when going outside was like getting into an ice bath. Maybe it's the humidity?
40 degrees in OK= 25 degrees in CO. it's the drier air.
this snow is effin up the trees in Boulder. it's pretty bad. of course, most of these trees aren't native to the climate anyway.

One of you go shovel my parents house. Well, you can use the snowblower. Dad had his hip replaced a couple months back

Yep, it will be gone by the time I get up there Sunday night. I will be living in Aurora for now and working in LoDo.
