If you feel yourself sliding into that dark place

This might help. I've been looking at it every 20 minutes, and am starting to feel a little better.

Re: If you feel yourself sliding into that dark place

My freshman year was Schnelly, that 'ol drunk @ 5-5-1. Then, I proceeded to sit through 3-8 (where we didn't win a single home game), 4-7 and 5-6. Our problems now weren't nearly as bad as they were then.

I'm not saying I enjoy losing, but... this picture brings back perspective...

you should be banned for one year for posting that pic. good lord.

what a clusterphuck that regime was.
I don’t know if the block on that last one was due to low trajectory or if the guys up front didn’t hold their ground well enough. I’m not convinced it matters. We have every reason to believe the ball could have gone through the uprights and the refs would have signaled first down Oregon. - D.E.

That's lame. That's like Romo getting a pass in dallas simply b/c he is better than Ryan Leaf, Drew Henson and Quincey Carter 3 of the worst QB's to ever start an nfl game...John Blake is one of if not the worst Coaches to ever be named a div 1 Head Coach. ... We get it Bob Stoops is a better HC than John Blake, but come on really...who isn't?

I remember how post Gary Gibbs it was hard to even follow. Stoops will always have a home in Norman as long as he wants to be a head coach. You will not find a better Coach then Stoops, but I sure hope we do not promote from within someday. Those hires never tend to work out in the long run.

The only reason he lasted 3 seasons is the previous coach had to removed after only 1 season. Then it was only by 1 vote of the 'regents'(??).

The Gary Gibbs years, or as I refer to them "the forgotten years". I always thought Gibbs was a good coach (I think he's still in the NFL). He did what was asked of him, cleaned up a program that was out of control, and even managed to win some (although he did have a 5-4-2, and a 6-6 record a couple of the years). Gary never got much credit, but he was also following a legend. Who knew things where going to get so bad after he was let go?!
