Satisfaction is the perfect background music for the scene from Apocalypse Now on the gunboat as Martin Sheen's character is looking at photographs of Colonel Kurtz, while the crew, all of them young men, are rocking out, raising hell (one of them is water skiing and the wake from the boat swamps some women trying to do their laundry) and having a good time. Teenagers with automatic weapons listening to rock 'n roll in an alien environment pretty much sums up the entire Vietnam war . . .
