That would suck. Since hockey is on Versus I don't get to watch much of it so when football season is over, I may go into sports withdrawals.
at this point in the process, I can only assume it was a typo and they meant to say "cram"...
I am in sports withdrawals right now. I don't like MLB or NASCAR.

I like baseball (even more when I'm at the ballpark), but season has so many games it's only worth paying attention to around August when the playoff race really starts to get interesting.

Sad day.
I'm not really Serge Ibaka: I was born and raised in Green Country and not in the Congo. But I do like giraffes.
the season's so long, it might as well not start until football's over anyway

I went to two NBA basketball games last season. I watched two or three on tv. I have no idea what I'll do with all that free time next season.
Real Name: Mark
I followed the Thunder basically every day. I bought season tickets, and I actually attended about 1/2 of the home games. I watched most of the other games on TV.
I know that I wouldn't be watching any basketball right now anyway, but the lockout makes me really sad--feeling a little empty. The Thunder are (were?) my favorite hobby.

I don't understand how the NBA and NFL can't figure their **** out.
There is enough money to go around for everyone to be happy I would think. It seems to me that they forget the money spent on their business is discretionary in nature. Life will go on without them.

The NFL will figure it out on time. Not so sure about the NBA. The owners are complaining, but it's their own damn fault that contracts got out of hand.

It's pretty simple...
the NFL owners feel they got screwed in the last CBA by Gene Upshaw, so they couldn't wait until he passed away from cancer to start the process to lead to this lockout in order to 'regain control they gave up' in teh last CBA.
the NBA one will likelier be nasty because a larger share of NBA teams are losing money than the NFL, not to mention that since a handful of the owners in the NBA have stakes in the NHL, they've been through a season long shutdown and came out on top in the negotiations that followed...they're more than willing to talk the rest of the NBA owners through that type of scenario so that they can get back on top of the revenue pie in the NBA.

I'm not going to get upset about the NBA lockout yet because the first regular season games aren't until late October. Of course they need time to train with their coaches to be 100% ready on opening night but there is still plenty of time left to settle things.

Jenni Carlson doesn't understand the lockout. I suppose her editors do not as well. http://newsok.com/carlson-dancers-ma...ad_story_title
When can we get a newspaper that doesn't suck?

Jenni is just presenting the woman's point of view when it comes to sports. That's why none of her articles could be mistaken for a man sportswriter.

I'll watch some if they play, but if they don't I won't be losing sleep either.

Hey... maybe T BOONE can pony up and start a Stilleater newspaper... but the players would probably just use it to roll the weed.

That would really suck, because the Thunder are close to winning it all. I hope they get a deal done.
