Nicolas Cage's rocker son Weston has been hospitalized after allegedly attacking his personal trainer in a restaurant.

Cops threatened to tazer the Eyes of Noctum star when they arrived at the The Farmer's Kitchen in Hollywood, reports TMZ.com. According to the website, the 20 year old was strapped to a gurney and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a mental evaluation. His father rushed to the hospital to be with his son.

Sources claim the fracas in the restaurant came hours after Weston's new wife, songwriter Nikki Williams, stormed out of their Hollywood home following a fight. The couple was married in New Orleans, Louisiana in April.

Los Angeles police were investigating the restaurant altercation as WENN went to press. Weston is Nicolas Cage's son with his actress ex Christine Fulton.

It has been a headline-grabbing year for the family - the movie star was arrested in New Orleans shortly before his son's wedding, following a drunken street fight with his wife Alice Kim. Charges of domestic violence and disturbing the peace were dropped last month.
