I was watching the first video while on the phone. I started laughing so hard at the 2:00 minute mark that I had to excuse myself from the conversation and hang up.

Actually, he was/is a pretty smart guy who just figured out that:
A) Japanese people completely freeze and freak out when faced with guerilla theatre
and
B) That's funny to watch
and
C) you can charge good money for staging those things.

While I was stationed in Japan we actually preferred local Japanese TV to AFRTS (armed forces radio and TV service,we called it a farts for giggles) They had some hilarious comercials.Outside of the fact I can't undertstand a dang thing on TV in Japan, there is a reason for stereotypes... Number 1!
