Since the trade, the Thunder are giving up 95.7 points per game. Previously they were giving up over 100 per. Since Perk joined the starting lineup, they have given up 91.1 points per game. Really like the team defense we are playing since the trade.
Could we have used the win that much? I mean, we're not catching LA/Dallas, and Portland/Denver ain't catching us, barring a meltdown of some sort.
I hated that loss but hey - we are 12-2 in March.
A question was asked on an NBA show on ESPN tonight: "....can OKC Thunder upset the SA Spurs in a series?"
Tim Legler tonight on ESPN: "Oklahoma City is the second best team in the West."
Legler went as far to say that he thinks OKC will win a second round series over SA unless SA gets fully healthy. He also talked about us being the only real contender for LA as it sits right now because of the depth inside we have. Really exciting to see the love we are getting considering just two years ago we started the season 3-29....amazing.
Yeah, that was kind of an embarrassing finish to regulation, but whatevs...one win away from last season's total with 9 games to go.
at this point in the process, I can only assume it was a typo and they meant to say "cram"...
that's the kind of situation that would've led to a loss last year
Tonight is a dangerous spot. Back to back after an OT game, a good distance traveled. PHX and GS are nearly mirror images with their style of play. Neither goes inside really and they just gun it from anywhere.
A road win in this situation would be a sweet way to match last season's win total. Like Partial Q mentioned, last night's game was one we found a way to lose last year. They made so many mistakes down the stretch yet made enough plays to win. I think they do the same tonight and win a close game.
You heard it first here folks..?Thunder Up !!?
