At least I'm not Jersey Sooner.
That's a pretty tall order, Nordberg.
This must be a cyclical thing. Heroin was HUGE in Suburban Dallas in the mid-to-late 90s. Bored white kids with too much disposable income and nothing to do.
"It was once said—only half facetiously—that the three greatest organizations the world has ever known were the Imperial German Army, the Roman Catholic Church and the Standard Oil Company. Inasmuch as the Imperial German Army was demobilized in 1918, it is doubtless high time that a new candidate be proposed to fill out the triumvirate, and one strong contender—most sport fans would agree—is the University of Oklahoma football team." ~ Tex Maule, Sports Illustrated, November 18, 1957
imagine your best orgasm, and multiply it by a thousand
that just sounds like bad business to me... $5 a hit? someone's not good at mathsIt's not surprising. Today's heroin isn't just cheaper, it's stronger. In the 70s, most heroin was about 3 percent pure. Today, it's upwards of 60 percent. And the more potent it is, the more deadly.
Heroin has always been the one drug that really scared the **** out of me. Not that I was ever into drugs, but I looking back I probably would have tried a lot of **** under the right circumstances, however I think even then I would have stayed away from a needle drug.
For the good old American lifestyle: For the money, for the glory, and for the fun... mostly for the money.
no ****. i ****ing hate needles.
that being said, i'm not about to smoke crack either
Yup, I've never been tempted by drugs either, and especially not anything that would have to be injected. I get shaky and feel like I'm going to faint at doctors offices whether I'm getting a shot or not. If I'm watching tv and somebody is getting a shot, or shooting up, etc., it makes me want to hurl, so I could never go this route. 'll stick to Nattys, and liquor, even if they are more expensive!
This thread sucks. I was ready to hear some Lou Reed.

I always thought the best hindrance to the temptation to smoke crack was in New Jack City with this quote
You cut a side deal with that mother****er. Yes, you did. Yes, you did, Gee. ****ing Cain. My brother's keeper. Was it this... [takes crack pipe from him] ... glass dick you've been sucking on? Was that it? Now I see how you let that mother****er infiltrate. He used you, Gee. What ever happened to, "Am I my brother's keeper?"

Even I was not so self-destructive as to shoot H despite my many opportunities. Although, I did smoke it once. I had a friend who OD'd regularly shooting blow. I finally convinced him to snort it like a "normal person". How's that for logic?
"Once a country boy's seen the way the steam rises off a man's insides on the sidewalk Tends to change the way he thinks, the way he sees everything when he goes back to where he came from."

a real friend would have gotten him a more potent speedball.

Legalize heroin. It frees everyone's mind of the "small government, hard work" crap thinking that the US is stricken with.
Have self control

Heroin should be legal.
Plus...you aren't gonna drive while you're shooting up.
