quick question for you non-professionals...
anyone been to a Member-Guest (One-Day or big 3-Day variety), and been blown away with the gift?? Or, anyone heard of one and though, "Wow, that's freaking awesome!!!"
just trying to brainstorm.

I don’t know if the block on that last one was due to low trajectory or if the guys up front didn’t hold their ground well enough. I’m not convinced it matters. We have every reason to believe the ball could have gone through the uprights and the refs would have signaled first down Oregon. - D.E.
Can we talk about ANYTHING golf related? Cause it looks like Eldrick will be back in a couple weeks.
I played in a member/guest deal at the Tucson CC back in the day where they gave away a full set of Taylor-Made clubs, custom fit to the winner.
Hell, I knew about Golf Clubs, Golf Carts, Golf Balls, Golf Courses, Golf Tournaments, etc, but I was not aware of any golf threads...
Oh wait...You mean those gay patterned knickers, stylish vests, and funny hats I guess.

I played in one of the member-guest scrambles and everbody chipped in and bought me a crotch hook to help keep my head down. They felt so sorry for me they bought all the beers too. I ain't heard from them fellas in awhile?

Free Booze and Spam . What else could a Man want?
I think he means more like the tee prize, a gift for just showing up and playing.
no?
I taste terrific.
A friend of mine played in one a few years ago and the tee prize was a Club Glove softsided travel case.
nice.
I taste terrific.
I think a new Lexus would be nice. You could get Lexus to sponsor it.
See the connection?

Well if we're talking tee prize the best thing I ever got was a sack of tees, a bag of rangeballs, some cheapassed plastic ball markers, a Lutheran Church coozie, and a coupon for a free sandwich at the pro shop.
Oh, I did misuderread the intent. The best gift I have received at one of these was a very nice all weather golf vest, probably a $75 value.

we're thinking of pooling the $$$ we have set aside for tee prizes, and raffling off a ferarri (or similar) for a day to the winner.

Those prizes suck. Here's what I got:

Are you doing a vehicle for a hole in one on a par 3? They sell insurance policies for that type of stuff. Your local car dealer could put up most of the cost for advertising his brand and placing a car on the hole somewhere.

Well I've never been to heaven, but I've been to Oklahoma.
Dean...bring yer *** down...we'll drink beer and find a ringer

About $200 worth of Addias and Taylor Made stuff at the Golf Club of Oklahoma Scissortail last September. Shoes, shirts, towels, balls, wedges. I drank at least twice that at the open bar. Each morning they'd have a little gift laid out with your bag, logoed golf balls or a divot tool.

tough call fad, hard to come up with a gift that everyone would like.
If I were doing something as big as a vehicle, i'd take that money and do new golf cars..you can give out about 7 as opposed to one...winning a golf cart is cool. and fairly easy to sell if you don't want it.
I taste terrific.
