Oh they've all got them. Momma is on the diversity awareness committee at work. I think the Irish/Jews/Gays/Asians/Greeks/ and a couple other groups gotta share a month though.

And, what a bunch of bull****.

golf history month is long overdue.
I don’t know if the block on that last one was due to low trajectory or if the guys up front didn’t hold their ground well enough. I’m not convinced it matters. We have every reason to believe the ball could have gone through the uprights and the refs would have signaled first down Oregon. - D.E.

With all the PC jakovs out there today, it's surprising "Black" History Month hasn't taken some sort of criticism.

For the record, I have no problem with declaring this or that observance if it makes a people feel better about themselves.

And in the final analysis, that's what these observances are designed to do.
"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever they can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser; in fees, expenses and waste of time." -- Abraham Lincoln, (1809-1865) Lawyer and President who saved the United States.

"Without opportunities on the part of the poor to obtain expert legal advice, it is idle to talk of equality before the law"-- Justice Chas. Evans Hughes

As well as educate others about different cultures or groups of people. We have all that stuff at work and I don't mind it at all, but I really don't think these programs have any impact on the self-esteem or attitudes of anyone.

I find this article to be very humorous and ironic. The PC police are trying to protect the victimized, yet the person responsible is...gasp...a minority.

Haggis, kidney pie, blackbird pie, mussels, blood sausage. . . . Dean, they even put mussels, haggis, and broccoli on pizza. Unless things have changed since I was there on vacation, it is mostly bloody bad grub. The only saving grace I could see was the growing presence of good Indian foods into the British Isles diet. Curry chicken and chips is now pretty much a staple food.
