Big fan. As with most of my shows I am behind. So I can't read this thread. I'll get caught up online or when the DVDs come out.

Showtime has some great shows right now. In my opinion they are vying to overtake HBO. True Blood is a personal favorite, I've been watching that since it premiered, same with Entourage and Curbed. Treme has been pretty damn good so far too. But that's about it for me, if Eastbound and Down ever comes back, same with Flight of the Concords. Big Love is getting a little too out there for me. But you wait for August gentlement, Boardwalk Empire is going to be great, set during Prohibition starring Steve Buscemi (sp?) with Scorsesce exec prod.
But Showtime has Dexter, Californication, and Weeds. If they can get one more big show I'll renew my service. The Tudors doesn't do it for me

Dexter News:
Dexter has been nominated for 7 Emmy Awards! Congratulations to the amazing cast, crew and fans for our nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Michael C. Hall for Lead Actor and John Lithgow for his sensational guest appearance!
Peter Weller has joined the cast of the fifth season of Showtime’s Dexter. Weller is best known as the title character from the RoboCop movies and Buckaroo Banzai from The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.
According to Deadline, Weller will be playing “a troubled Miami Metro police officer who gets caught up in an internal affairs investigation.” The actor will appear in eight of the twelve episodes. And yes, many will make the connection that his Buckaroo Banzai co-star John Lithgow appeared on last season, earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
Showtime has confirmed news that Julia Stiles will appear in ten episodes of "Dexter" this season.
According to the channel, Stiles will "play a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife."
Season five of "Dexter," which starts production this month, will run this fall on the channel.
Stiles' feature credits include "Ten Things I Hate About You," "Save the Last Dance," "The Omen" and the three "Bourne" movies opposite Matt Damon.
"Dexter" also stars Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, and James Remar.
Interesting guest stars for sure. Not sure either of them can top what Lithgow brought to the series last year, but the writers do such a great job with this series, so it should still be great.

I think they are replaying season 4 on sho right now.
I can't wait for the new season!
I hope Michael C. Hall is all better now...I guess he is or they wouldn't be shooting?
Whenever a boy comes you should always have something baking.
Season 4 DVD comes out on August 19.
My wife watches them, she prefers the "old school" way since we don't have Showtime. She usually watches them while she is on the treadmill, she watches an episode a night that way.
That final episode.. even now I think it was the best finali ever made..

SDCC 10: We've Seen The New Season Five Dexter Trailer
Conscience can be a killer! What happens next for The Bay Harbor Butcher?
At the San Diego Comic Con, rabid fans in attendance at Showtime's Dexter panel were shown a new trailer for Season 5! IGN was there, and since the video isn't available for you all to see yet we're gonna let you in on what we saw:
•Dexter carries baby Harrison out of the house, to waiting police cars, at the scene of Rita's murder. "It was me" he tells Deb, out of guilt.
•Dexter's thoughts say goodbye to Rita. "I was never really honest with you," Dexter says in his mind. "I'm a serial killer"
•Dexter attempts to tell Astor and Cody what happened to their mother.
•Astor is angry with Dexter for failing to protect Rita.
•Trinity never killed a married woman in a bathtub before, so Quinn actually suspects their neighbor, Elliot. His thoughts, however, turn towards Dexter himself as a suspect. He confronts LaGuerta about the fact that Dexter would be a suspect if it were a normal case and they didn't all know and love him.
•The police start to search for Kyle Butler, drawing sketches, and it's discovered that Dexter was actually at Arthur Mitchel's house!
•Quinn sets his sights on investigating Dexter, using Elliot's "tips" and Dexter's own words "It was me" as a basis.
•Dexter keeps killing even though he should be focused on his children. "Normally, having a target would make me feel good, but now it means nothing," he thinks.
•The tag line "Conscience can be a killer" with a scene where Dexter stabs a man over and over and lets out a promal scream.
So, no word yet on who Julie Styles, Shawn Hatosy or Jonny Lee Miller play yet. These scenes probably just represent the first two or three episodes.
New trailer coming very soon.
