None of the above. I always smoke turkey over pecan wood. Ribs/brisket/chicken/etc. I smoke over pecan with just a few chips of hickory thrown in.Originally Posted by swardboy
You can't go wrong with the fruit trees though. Cherry, apple, etc. work fine.
If you throw a little of the fruit tree wood in with the pecan it really comes out well. Like Dean says...you really can't go wrong whatever you do.
