Anybody have any recommendations? I get a fever blister a couple of times a year. I can feel one coming on right now. I have used Abreva and it never seems to help. I picked up some Terra M this morning. Anybody used this stuff?

Zovirax. But it requires a prescription in the States.
Kills them within hours for the first tingle, however, and you'll never see a blister.
Go talk to your doctor.

Uggghhh. I hate those little fuggers, had 'em since I was about 5. The best non-prescription method that I've found is to ice the hell out of the area at the first tingle then use Abreva after that. This has cut down the severity and longevity tremendously.

an ice cube will put a quick end to them sometimes. It helps with the sensations you get too. You have to walk around all day though with a cube in your hand so put a towel in your lap...go sit down and have folks bring you beer while you watch football today. If you can get some of the RXs folks have told you about...only take one of them. Taking all of them at the same time might not be good.

Or you could just take L-Lysine daily and use Zovirax when you get a tingle and you'll never have one...ever again.
