It's a porn thing. Thanks to the pervasiveness of those films, attractive young adult people who aren't porn stars, feel they too must be as hairless as four year olds and all their orifices need to be proportioned a certain way and devoid of any pigmentation that normally occurs as we age.

It's pretty pervasive throughout America. Some young women leave a little, for a funky aesthetic I guess, but its slick as a baby's bottom for a great many. And guys are into it too. There are young men, even heterosexual ones, who shave their entire bodies, and even shape their eyebrows. As I've stated, I'm convinced it a manifestation of popular adoption of the porn ideal.
I'm advised subjects in porn films started this hairless dealio because devoid of shrubbery, you can see the cracks in the foundation better. Or something.

I accept evolution, but it's kinda hard to see the point of reaching the pinnacle thereof if we (as a species) do some of the things listed in this thread once we get there.
