Oklahoma's official state rock song is...

The official Oklahoma Rock Song was announced today at the State Capitol.

And the winner is… The Flaming Lips - "Do You Realize?"!


(note: This isn't the official video, as Warner Bros. doesn't understand how viral media works and pulled all their artists' videos earlier this year. Way to be idiots, WB!)

The Lips received 51% of the 21,000 votes cast. Wayne, Steven, Michael and Kliph were all in attendance.

It should have been the Hoyt Axton song. He once described Norman, OK (in a commercial for Pizza Hut) as the cultural center of the Universe. Hoyt was The Man!
