I watched it. He bumbled his way through it - as always. GWB's biggest fault is his completely craptasticular speaking ability. That being said, I voted for him twice, and would vote for him again if he could run.
All the ninnies on the left (and a lot of them on the right) have rode this poor bastard into the ground over the war on terror, the economy, yada, yada, yada. Nothing has changed (other than gas going down) and nothing will change (other than another terrorist attack or maybe some gun hatin' action) when Obama steps in - but those same haters of Bush will be praising the Obama like he magically fixed the country.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. People are stupid. Really, really stupid. And liberals are the stupidest of the stupid.
Later on the US got nailed with one of the worst natural disasters in US history, not to mention in the homelad of where people hold Obama as thier savior...as in NO Mayor Ray Nagin's self proclaimed "Chocolate City"
Its a shame W got the blame for all those people who ignored evacuation warnings and had to be rescued from the rooftops..
I am looking forward to what the history books are going to say about the years 2000 - 2015...
Here's a summary of his speech:
Terrorists, terrorists, 9-11, 9-11, terrorists, 9-11, terrorists, terrorists.....
I guess go with what works.

W did okay in my book.
Maybe, just maybe we'll have some common sense regulation of Wall Street. Bush, Clinton, Greenspan all fell into this trap that any and all regulation is bad.
They all share a lot of blame in the horrific economic problems we have now and Bush is no exception. (Bush was so blinded by idealogical "no regulation" stance that he was powerless to see this coming until he had to turn our country into an almost socialist state.)
How's that limited regulation doin' for us now? Kinda backfired into full blown socialism didn't it? Wouldn't it have been nice to control Wall Street just a little five years ago?
And don't look now but pretty much every economist is saying that we're in worse shape than we were in October. Looks like the $350 billion just ain't cutting it.
I don't want oppressive regulation but history has shown us that banks will not act in their own best interest. That's fine if their failure doesn't bring us all down but when it does we have a right to control them.
You think that CEO who is getting tens of millions of dollars a year to take excessive risks cares about his own company's (or our economy's) long term financial health?
Off tangent, but, yes, the next administration might just be better - even if we don't see it for several years due to the mess the previous two admins left us. I realize all these guys are taking tons of Wall Street money so I'm not too optimistic but it can't be worse than the current admin...
