I heard he wanted to give a $1000 "stimulus payment" to everyone. It's supposed to help with energy costs, but I didn't hear anything about it coming from energy companies.

Yes mdklatt, he has proposed it be a windfall profit tax on oil companies to pay for this. This idea is every bit as bad as the offshore drilling plan to address the energy issue.

I think the windfall tax concept should apply to Hollywood. The Dark Knight has a profit margin of over 100% after only two weeks. If that isn't a windfall, I don't know what is.

I don't believe in the Robin Hood theory of redistribution of wealth, I do believe in capitalism........but not psuedo capitalism when fear and gouging are allowed to run amok.
